\n<\/strong>When I’m not talking someone’s ear off about beer, I’m probably hanging out with my wonderful partner and\/or our dog Captain Sniffer! We love to go on long walks together around the city or deep in the woods, and usually cap off our time together with a drink at a local brewery. I can also be found spending too much time on YouTube, playing video games, or practicing various instruments around the house. I do also love to home-brew, and I’m always ready to learn something new about beer, so you might say I have a “thirst” for knowledge!<\/span><\/p>\n

\n<\/strong>There is a sense of community around local beer. Every spot feels distinct and the people that work at each brewery are always so cool and super friendly!<\/span><\/p>\n
\n<\/strong>Passing on beer knowledge is a big passion of mine. It’s gratifying to be able to not only teach people something new about beer, but even more so to guide someone through a tasting as they discover what styles of beer they enjoy the most. Whether they’re finding a new favorite or just looking to enjoy something more familiar, it’s always exciting handing someone a beer they’ve never had before.<\/span><\/p>\n

\n<\/strong>I used to work in travel and tourism but now work in biotech. I became a Beer Guide not just because of my love beer but because of my love storytelling, history, and helping create a fun shared experience between strangers. <\/span><\/p>\n
\n<\/strong>Pilsner Urquell, Zero Gravity – Madonna, Schilling – Alexandr.<\/span><\/p>\n
\n<\/strong>After giving a private tour to a bachelor party, I was invited to join the group for seafood dinner and another brewery! I dropped off the CBT van and joined for lobster rolls and more great beer. <\/span><\/p>\n
\n<\/strong>The diversity of spaces and their design. <\/span><\/p>\n
\n<\/strong>I love sharing stories and knowledge, and broadening understanding of beer and Boston!<\/span><\/p>\n
\n<\/strong>The food scene! Boston doesn’t get the love that NYC, LA, SF, or other great food cities do, but it holds its own. <\/span><\/p>\n

\n<\/strong>I’m currently working towards my goal of opening a brewery\/brewpub, and I’m enjoying life and work as I do so. I currently working with City Brew Tours as a Beer Guide and with Lord Hobo Brewing as a Packaging Operator. I used to work with Iron Heart, and before that I taught high school science!<\/span><\/p>\n
\n<\/strong>I tend to go for opposite ends of the beer spectrum, a simple lager like Jack’s Abby post shift pilsner or something really sweet like new park’s blender series.<\/span><\/p>\n
\n<\/strong>Probably my latest tour, I was working with a bachelorette party and I had more fun with them than I do with a lot of my friends! They cut me off to joke around so much I barely got through the history of beer, which I think upset me more than it did them.<\/span><\/p>\n
\n<\/strong>I love that Boston has huge, nationally known breweries here and tiny, homey breweries – and that the tiny ones are usually better!<\/span><\/p>\n
\n<\/strong>I get to meet all kinds of people and learn about them, and I get to talk about and learn more about beer. And the pay is pretty good too!<\/span><\/p>\n
\n<\/strong>How pretty it is around here. Boston is a great mix of new and old buildings, plenty of nature is in and around the city, and the weather and seasons change so quick you learn to appreciate every moment.<\/span><\/p>\n
\n<\/strong>My dad, he’s a huge part of the reason why I’m into beer and I miss him every day.<\/span><\/p>\n
