SpindleTap Brewery, founded in 2015, has deep roots in Texas industry and Houston\u2019s craft beer scene. Created by the founders of neighboring companies Lightning Logistics and Rapid Crate, SpindleTap started as a way to entertain clients but quickly grew into a renowned brewery. Co-founders Brody Chapman, David Miller, Cameron Banks, Adam Wright, Garrison Mathis, and Shaun Ebersole set out to create a distinctive experience, drawing inspiration from the famous Spindletap oil discovery in Beaumont, TX, which sparked a major oil boom. Brewmaster Garrison Mathis, with his background in biochemistry, and homebrewer Shaun Ebersole teamed up to craft a lineup of beers that highlight SpindleTap\u2019s innovative spirit.<\/p>\n

The brewery\u2019s early offerings featured beers like Boomtown Blonde Ale and the award-winning Honey Hole ESB, which claimed a Silver Medal at the 2019 Great American Beer Festival. Today, Hop Gusher remains the last original beer in the taproom, while their 2017 release, Houston Haze, cemented SpindleTap\u2019s reputation as a leader in hazy IPAs. As a popular stop on our City Brew Tours, SpindleTap Brewery offers guests a true taste of Houston\u2019s craft beer expertise, with each visit showcasing both their inventive brewing approach and the passion they bring to the Houston craft scene.<\/p>\n
