It’s that time of year again folks! Zwickelmania 2017 is upon us. Join us Saturday, February 18th from 11:00AM – 4:00PM while we hop from brewery to brewery celebrating this wonderful day of all things beer!
For those of you who are experiencing Zwickelmania for the first time, let us explain! It’s an annual event in Oregon when breweries open their doors to both casual and hardcore beer fans. More than 120 breweries, both big and small, are planning on participating with meet-the-brewer events and beer samples. This year there will be two separate Zwickel days, and we’ll be providing free shuttling during the Portland event on the 18th as previously mentioned. Visitors are invited to click on one of the six regions of Oregon on the Zwickelmania event page to check out all the participating breweries.
BREWVANA Portland Brewery Tours in partnership with Rogue Brewing is excited to support Portland’s numerous and wonderful breweries by providing our annual FREE shuttling again this year! To make things as easy as possible, we’re offering 3 routes that will cover the city’s 5 quadrants (yes, we see the conundrum here) Southwest, Northwest, Northeast, Southeast, and North Portland. Buses will be picking up and dropping off at each location in approx. 30 minute intervals. This means there is no set schedule this year and instead you can plan on seeing a bus approximately every 30 minutes. Please note that each route is a LOOP.
There are no crossovers between routes, so we recommend taking a brief walk to a nearby brewery on a different route and go from there! Let’s be honest.. a little break between brews is probably a good idea on this day of much imbibing and many, many beers. The three routes are Southeast (SE) covering the inner Southeast Portland area, Northeast (NE) covering inner and deep Northeast Portland, and West and North Portland (W&N) covering the entire Portland Westside and North Portland. For those of you needing a bit of sustenance between stops we’ll be selling pretzel necklaces on the bus. Please note that alcohol cannot be consumed on the bus and open containers are not allowed. We gots to keep y’all safe! To recap, BREWVANA offers a free shuttle to a select amount of breweries to provide safe and convenient shuttling. No beer is included– we’re just a charter between beers! If you have any questions, give us a holler. Our office staff is here to help and make sure all your questions are answered in time for the big day.
So, get to work on gathering your friends, planning your routes, packing your lunches… because this is going to be a Zwickelmania to remember!
