The Brooklyn Brewery has called Williamsburg neighborhood of Brooklyn home since 1984. Founded by Steve Hindy, Brooklyn Brewery was formed after Steve ended five and a half years as the Middle Eastern correspondent for the AP. He enlisted the help of his downstairs neighbor, Tom Potter, who was a banker to get the Brooklyn Eagle Brewery, as it was originally called, off the ground. Together the duo set off to find iconic graphic designer Milton Glaser who would give them the sort of logo they needed to make their business plan a success. Milton convinced them to drop the eagle concept from their name and logo and the rest is history, three decades of it which you’ll have to jump on a tour to learn more about.
