Other Half Brewing resides as a beacon in the heart of New York City, Brooklyn, churning out incredible brews and an authentic New York City experience. Opening its doors in 2014, founders Sam Richardson, Andrew Burman, and Matt Monahan began crafting with a belief in the importance of local breweries, a passion for collaboration, and the will to create incredible beer.
If you’re looking to make your rounds to all the hippest NYC breweries on the beer scene, make your way to this gem of a Brooklyn brewery. Visit their tasting room to taste their beers on tap, and you may come across a dry hopped pale ale, a juicy farmhouse ale, or if you’re lucky you can steal a sip of one of their coveted limited releases.
They have a location in Rochester too! The new Other Half Roc opened with a bang in March, with hundreds (yes, HUNDREDS) lining up in hopes of getting their hands on the limited cream ale. If you weren’t able to get your hands on the exclusive and elusive Genesee Dream Ale, you aren’t alone. There are plenty of enthusiasts that weren’t able to experience this explosive collab, with their supply running dry in a mere two hours. But do not fear! This is far from the end of awesome collab beers and limited releases from the brewery and, if history is any indication, Other Half will continue turning the brew scene upside down with them.
Shop online for glassware, hats, and plenty of other little trinkets. You could even purchase a guided tour of the brewery for yourself and a few friends! Every Wednesday at 2PM up to 10 people can roam the Other Half brewhouse on a tour, where you can explore the brewery’s production facility and even try 2 samples of beer!
Whether you visit them in Brooklyn or Rochester, you have to get your hands on one of their beloved IPAs or well sought after collabs with other breweries in New York like Equilibrium Brewery, or with other well-known microbreweries around the country like California’s Monkish Brewing Co., Burial Beer Company, 3 Stars Brewing, and Trillium.
