Urban Consequence is one of the newest and smallest breweries in Memphis. Owner Jeff Sable originally did not like beer, then he discovered craft beer! Jeff and his father began home brewing in 1999 with a gas turkey fryer in the corner of basement and pre-hopped malt extracts. This grew to a larger all-grain electric system and then to carboys and home fermentation tanks. Soon it became the brewery and taproom featured on our tour.
Urban Consequence is a small system, three 2 barrel vessels, that Jeff is uses to constantly come up with new and creative beers and well as taproom favorites. Urban Consequence makes craft beer and soda in small batches to enjoy in the taproom or to take with you.
City life is stressful. Urban Consequence wants to be an oasis of flavor and refreshment.
