Our cancellation policy for Public Tours is as follows:
No date changes can be made within 24 hours of scheduled tour, but tickets are fully-transferable to another party, just provide them the first and last name on your booking and they may attend in your place.
We provide snacks on our tours– enough to take the edge off but not too much to inhibit more imbibing. If that doesn’t squelch your hanger, feel free to place your own order for food to go if time allows. Please list any allergies or dietary restrictions when booking.
You know it! We provide plenty of beer on each and every one of our tours. Trust us– you won’t be thirsting for more.
No open alcohol containers are allowed on the bus. If you decide to open an alcoholic beverage, you will be asked to leave the tour. We do have storage available on the bus for any purchases for later consumption that you make along the tour, though.
Not likely, but it is possible. In the event of severe weather or a lack of tour-goers, the tour may be canceled.
In the event of inclement weather, the decision to cancel will be made by Brew Tours Staff at least 12 hours before the start of the tour. If roads are fair and our brewery partners are open, we make every effort to run our tours as scheduled. Should you wish to reschedule due to the inability to travel during the inclement weather, please give us a call at 856-263-2337 to discuss your options; a fee may apply if your tour was still scheduled to operate.
Tours could also be canceled if the following three COVID-19 metrics are not met:
Our public tours include pick up/drop off service at the Mt Hood Brewing Company (401 SE Caruthers) promptly at pick up time. Don’t be the late party pooper- if you miss the bus you’ll have to arrange transportation to the 1st location.
All guests must wear closed-toe shoes to participate in the tour. This is a safety precaution that the breweries themselves are required to enforce, therefore, no exceptions can be made. If you are taking a tour during the summer months, please plan accordingly.
Due to COVID-19 restrictions we are unable to provide tour options that include a full meal. For the time being, public tours include a pretzel snack, and private tours have the option to add a selection of cheeses.
A note on gluten: Typically, beer is not gluten-free. Some of our tour stops do from time to time offer gluten-free options, however, we cannot guarantee their availability. Gluten-free guests should consider our non-drinker ticket, so they can purchase cider or gluten-free beer when available.
No need to worry about choosing your beers at each stop. You’ll receive a handpicked selection of local craft beer curated by our beer expert guides.
In order for us to run a tour, we need a minimum of 4 participants.
That info will be coming soon!
We offer 3 different public tours which you can read more about here. Because private tours are personalized, there is a sliding scale of differences between them vs. public tours. Generally, we suggest private tours for corporate events, bachelor/bachelorette parties, and other groups of over 10 guests. You can read more about our private tours here.
If you have not received an email from us, be sure to check your spam folder. Our emails are automated and will sometimes slip past your inbox. If it is not in spam, you can reach out to us by phone or email and we will happily send you your confirmation again.

Ride like the Portlanders do and use public transportation to get to the pickup location– plus it’s a great way to avoid driving after your tour. Use Trimet.org to plan your trip! If you do drive, you can park in the lot under the bridge if you visit our friends at the Oregon Rail Museum either before or after your tour.
There is also plenty of street parking around Mt. Hood Brewing, but please take note of parking laws and enforcement.
We also offer a custom pick up/drop off option for $30 additional for locations within 3 miles of Pioneer Square. Select as an “extra” during booking and be ready 1 hour prior to tour time.
Yes, you must book in advance. Online registration for public tours closes 3 hours prior to tour time but give us a ring if you’d like to book. Private tours require more time – a minimum of 1 week prior to your respective tour date but the more time we have, the better. A 25% deposit is required to reserve your date and the remaining balance is due 72 hours prior to tour time. Email firstname.lastname@example.org for more info.
Any date changes that are made less than 7 days before your tour will be subject to a $35pp rescheduling fee. No date changes can be made less than 24 hours before a tour.
You can simply show up to the pick-up spot a few minutes early, with a valid form of ID and closed-toe shoes. You do not need a physical ticket or to print out your confirmation email, just give your name to the guide!
Yes! You can purchase a specific tour gift voucher, or select a dollar amount to give. Check out our Gift Certificates page for more information.
Everyone (over 21 years old) is welcome on a BREWVANA tour! We do require notification of any disabilities and special requests when booking, we have one bus that is handicap accessible. Please call us to accommodate.
You must be 21 or older and show proper identification in order to participate in our tour, even if you’ve purchased a non-drinker ticket.
We often include prepaid gratuity for parties of 4 or more. If you think your guide did a great job, we suggest tipping $15 per person.
