Philly Brew Tour FAQs

What is the cancellation, rescheduling, refund policy?

All ticket sales are final. Tours cannot be exchanged, rescheduled, or refunded.

Guests that purchase our optional ticket insurance can cancel or reschedule their tour with at least 24 hours’ notice, and can be rescheduled or reimbursed for the full tour ticket price (minus the booking fee and insurance fee)

Could my tour be cancelled?

Not likely, but it is possible. In the event of severe weather or a lack of tour-goers, the tour may be canceled.

In the event of inclement weather, the decision to cancel will be made by Brew Tours Staff at least 12 hours before the start of the tour. If roads are fair and our brewery partners are open, we make every effort to run our tours as scheduled.  Should you wish to reschedule due to the inability to travel during the inclement weather, please give us a call at 215-866-2337 to discuss your options; a fee may apply if your tour was still scheduled to operate.

Tours could also be canceled if the following three COVID-19 metrics are not met:

  • State guidelines allow for our brewery affiliates to allow on-site consumption.
  • The state continues to show a published, downward trajectory in new cases over a 14-day period.
  • The percentage of positive tests compared to total tests averages less than 15% within a specified region across a period of 14 days.
Where do your tours pick up?

Our Original and Sip Tours’ pick up spot is at 1227 Filbert St across the street from the Maggiano’s. The van will depart right at the time listed, so recommend arriving 15 minutes early to allow for time to check-in! Bear in mind we do not have a storefront. You will be dropped off at this same location.

Our Spring Garden Hops & History Tour Walking Tour meets outside The Edgar Allan Poe National Historic Site located at 532 N 7th St, Philadelphia, PA 19123. The nearest public transit is the Spring Garden subway stop on either the Market-Frankford or Broad Street Line. Buses 43, 47 and 47M also drop off nearby. Please arrive 15 minutes early to check with your guide.

Why do I have to wear closed-toed shoes?

All guests must wear closed-toe shoes to participate in the tour. This is a safety precaution that the breweries themselves are required to enforce, therefore, no exceptions can be made. If you are taking a tour during the summer months, please plan accordingly.

Can you accommodate dietary restrictions?

Yes, we can accommodate most dietary restriction. Please inform us regarding the nature of your restrictions or allergies when booking your tour!

A note on gluten: Typically, beer is not gluten-free. Some of our tour stops do from time to time offer gluten-free options, however, we cannot guarantee their availability. Gluten-free guests should consider our non-drinker ticket, so they can purchase cider or gluten-free beer when available.

Am I able to choose all of the beers on my tour?

No need to worry about choosing your beers at each stop on the Original and Sip Tours. You’ll receive a handpicked selection of local craft beer curated by our beer expert guides.

On our Spring Garden Hops and History Walking Tour, your expert beer guide will curate a crafted flight for your at two of our stops, and guests will be able to choose a full pour of a flagship beer at the final destination – the best of both worlds!

What is your tour minimum?

In order for us to run a tour, we need a minimum of 3 participants.

Do you have gift certificates?

Yes! You can purchase a specific tour gift voucher, or select a dollar amount to give. Check out our Gift Certificates page for more information.

What Hotels are nearby?

The nearest hotel is the Philadelphia Marriott Downtown, on the same block as our pick up for both the Original Philly Brew Tour and the Sip of Philly Brew Tour!

What is the difference between the public and private tour?

We offer 3 different public tours which you can read more about here. Because private tours are personalized, there is a sliding scale of differences between them vs. public tours. Generally, we suggest private tours for corporate events, bachelor/bachelorette parties, and other groups of over 10 guests. You can read more about our private tours here.

I paid for my booking, but have not received a confirmation email.

If you have not received an email from us, be sure to check your spam folder. Our emails are automated and will sometimes slip past your inbox. If it is not in spam, you can reach out to us by phone or email and we will happily send you your confirmation again.

What is included in the confirmation email?

The details of your reservation, the pick up and drop off location for the tour, the tour itinerary, and information regarding our policies.

Where should I park?

We do not recommend driving to our tours. Whenever possible, please use a car service or public transportation to get to your pick up spot. If you must drive, for Original and Sip Tours parking is available at the Autopark at the Gallery Mall, 44 North 9th St. For our Spring Garden Hops and History Walking Tour, street parking is available along 5th, 6th, 7th, 8th or Spring Garden Ave. There are also parking lots for Target and Yards brewing company located between 5th and 6th.

Can I reschedule my tour date?

Any date changes that are made less than 7 days before your tour will be subject to a $35pp rescheduling fee. No date changes can be made less than 24 hours before a tour.

Do I need to print out my confirmation email/how do I print my ticket?

You can simply show up to the pick-up spot a few minutes early, with a valid form of ID and closed-toed shoes. You do not need a physical ticket or to print out your confirmation email, just give your name to the guide!

Is the tour wheelchair accessible?

Many of our stops are wheelchair accessible on the Original and Sip Tours. However, our seated passenger vans can only accommodate folding wheelchairs on private tours. All of our Hops and History stops are wheelchair accessible. This tour includes traveling a distance of up to 1.2 miles.

Can someone under 21 attend?

You must be 21 or older and show proper identification in order to participate in our tour, even if you’ve purchased a non-drinker ticket.

Should I bring anything special for the Hops & History Walking Tour?
