The story of Bastet Brewing’s namesake is, by their own reckoning, the story of how beer saved the world. Sent by Ra to punish mankind for their disrespect, Bastet’s bloody vengeance quickly grew to be more than Ra could stomach. He tricked Bastet by pouring 7,000 jugs of beer and pomegranate juice across the fields around her, and after one heckuva hangover, Bastet threw in the towel.
Huston Lett and Tom Ross started planning Bastet Brewing in 2014, and today they’re a nano-brewery serving beer in Ybor City inspired by Greek and Egyptian mythology, along with developing a few myth-worthy flavors of their own.
