CONTENT MARKETING ASSOCIATE

 

As Content Marketing Associate you’ll write, publish, and maintain an organized catalogue of long and short form copy in support of CBT Group’s family of brands across multiple marketing channels. The Content Marketing Associate will collaborate with our Marketing Team in strategically planning promotions and advertisements to grow our brands through multi-channel distribution. This position reports directly to the Marketing Manager and will collaborate remotely with coworkers across a number of departments.

Responsibilities:

  • Contribute to strategic planning, development and coordination of all marketing initiatives to promote CBT Group’s brands and company initiatives
  • Work with the Marketing Team to plan and execute multi-channel editorial calendars for each brand
  • Write and maintain search engine optimized blog articles, web pages, meta descriptions, product descriptions and affiliate placements
  • Write long form content such as promotional emails, monthly newsletters, and press releases
  • Write short form content such as Google advertisements, infosheets, voiceover scripts
  • Manage content distribution to brand-specific platforms, including three WordPress-based blogs
  • Work with a team of freelance writers in an editorial capacity to develop blog content 
  • Coordinate written content and multimedia assets for marketing affiliates
  • Maintain an organized, internal marketing content library
  • Create monthly reports measuring content performance
  • Keep up to date with industry news, trends and best practices as they relate to our brands
  • Other marketing tasks and projects as directed by the Marketing Manager

Requirements:

  • 1-3 years of experience in creating and managing content
  • Advanced written communication skills and ability to proofread and edit copy
  • Ability to write in a variety of voices for a variety of marketing channels
  • Must be able to write about beer and brewing authoritatively
  • Experience developing an editorial calendar
  • Experience with SEO writing and keyword research
  • Basic technical knowledge of WordPress CMS
  • Experience creating and presenting data-driven reports
  • Willingness to learn new technologies and software
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Communications, Journalism, English or related field
  • Prefer some experience with HTML, CSS, Adobe CS, SEM Rush, Mailchimp or similar 

Compensation:

  • Full Time, Monday to Friday, Work-from-Home
  • Base Salary $40,000 – $46,000 depending on experience

Tour Operations Coordinator - Boston or Washington DC

Tour Operations Coordinator

We are seeking a driven, goal-oriented, self starter to manage multiple City Brew Tours regional markets. The Tour Operations Coordinator is responsible for planning all aspects of upcoming tours in the assigned cities, including itinerary confirmation, hiring charter vehicles and ordering catering. They also administer other aspects of the cities’ operations such as adhering to budget, furthering personal relationships between CBT and featured brewery affiliates, training of new staff and development and evaluation of current staff. Tour Operations Coordinators report to the Business Development Manager and have direct reports from many part-time Beer Guides in each assigned city. The selected employee can live in and work from any of the following areas: Boston, MA or Washington, DC.

You’re as comfortable talking to someone 1-on-1 as you are speaking to a group of 50. You’re comfortable working from home, at a brewery, or on the road. You enjoy having the security of a steady job, but don’t like or want the rigidity of a 9-5.

Duties:

  • Render tours as lead Beer Guide in assigned city 
  • Accurately plan all itineraries, optimize tour times, and confirm stop reservations for public tours, private tours, and beer events in each city 
  • Reserve and allocate all transportation for upcoming tours in each city, as well as catering/BEOs if required 
  • Manage part-time Beer Guides including scheduling, staff levels, time off requests, team building and trainings 
  • Manage brewery and vendor relationships, onboard new affiliates and vendors 
  • Verify guide reporting (tour timecards, vehicle safety checks) and correct deficiencies
  • Create and implement new product initiatives and identify improvements to current operations
  • Attend daily huddle, weekly forecast meeting, and regularly scheduled team meetings
  • Local marketing and general ad-hoc projects assigned by Business Development Manager

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • At least 2 years’ experience in a role where you managed others
  • Demonstrate experience creating agendas, itineraries or planning meetings or events
  • Have extreme attention to detail with superior organization skills
  • Be a rock star managing your time and other’s time
  • Possess strong written communication skills
  • Approach tasks with a sales-minded, self-starter mentality
  • Enjoy being a team player and derive energy from being collaborative
  • Solve problems quickly and creatively
  • Come to work with high energy and be capable of engaging and managing large groups
  • Excel in a fast paced, constantly changing work environment
  • Be comfortable driving a 15 passenger van through the city
  • Understand the brewing process from grain to glass
  • Have a working knowledge of beer industry trends and beer events
  • Be able to use Google Sheets and Gmail for completion of the majority of responsibilities
  • Accept direction in learning new skills, new responsibilities and the use specific cloud based software the business relies on

Compensation:

  • Base + Gratuities + Commission + Bonus
  • Combined compensation $45,000 – $70,000

Travel Required: 15-30%

Driver’s License and clean driving record (no DUIs) required. No CDL needed.

Physical Requirements: You will be required to safely operate a motor vehicle. This includes the ability to sit for durations of up to 60 minutes at a time while driving. You may also need to sit for longer durations and look at a computer screen while working in your home office. You will be required to stand and walk for durations of at least 45 minutes at each tour stop and you will also need the mobility to pour beer from pitchers to glasses at various locations.

We are seeking responsible, charismatic, high energy, and witty guides for full-time work! As a Tour and Experience Guide, you would be responsible for leading educational beer and food experiences through both our City Brew Tours and Unboxed Experiences brands. Tour and Experience Guides are responsible for entertaining groups of beer & food enthusiasts by sharing their knowledge with passion. 

This is a full time position with 32 hours guaranteed weekly. Unboxed Tour and Experience Guides must live in the metro area of either Boston, or DC and can work a variety of shifts that can range from 2 to 6+ hours. Our busiest time during the week is Thursday – Saturday. Nights and/or weekend availability is a must. Tour and Experience Guides report to the Experiences Manager.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Full Time, Hourly (32+ Hours weekly)
  • $18-$20 per hour, DOE + Gratuities 
  • 401k with company match

Beer Guides report to the Tour Operations Coordinator. Beer Guides start at $18 an hour, depending on location, and are eligible for Gratuities, Bonus Pay, and a 401k plan.

Our unforgettable hosts are responsible for entertaining groups of gastronomic enthusiasts by sharing their knowledge with passion. Online Events Hosts start at $15 per hour and are eligible for gratuities, bonus pay, and a 401k plan.

WAREHOUSE POSITIONS

We currently operate warehouses in Vermont and Washington state. Warehouse positions start at $18 per hour and employees are eligible for a 401k, paid sick time, and other employment perks. Warehouse Lead Backup

We are currently seeking a dedicated, outgoing, and responsible employee to work in direct support of our Warehouse Lead. This position will assist the Lead in order preparation, picking, packing, inventory, and other tasks as part of our fulfillment team in Williston, VT and Vancouver, WA. This position will also serve as the Lead should the Warehouse Lead be absent. Leadership skills are necessary for this position. This is a part time position, mornings from Monday to Fridays, 20 + hours per week. 

Fulfillment Associate

We are currently seeking an employee to work in order preparation, picking, packing, inventory, and other tasks as part of our fulfillment team in Williston, VT and Vancouver, WA. This is a part time position, mornings from Monday to Fridays, ~20 hours per week. Additional hours will be available during peak weeks and for the holiday season.
